Important Superannuation Changes – Action Required Before 30 June 2026
As part of the upcoming superannuation administration changes, employers should take the following actions to ensure compliance and avoid disruptions to super payments.
- Download Information from the ATO Small Business Superannuation Clearing House
If you currently use the ATO Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH), we recommend downloading and retaining all relevant employee and payment information as soon as possible. This information may be required for future reference and record-keeping purposes. Please note access to the ATO SBSCH ceases on 1 July 2026.
- Submit Final Payments Before the Cut-Off Date
If you intend to use the ATO SBSCH before 30 June 2026, please ensure all superannuation payments are made before the ATO’s cut-off date.
- Arrange an Alternative Clearing House
Employers currently using the ATO SBSCH should make arrangements to transition to an alternative superannuation clearing house. Early setup will help avoid delays and ensure ongoing compliance with superannuation obligations.
- Finalise Outstanding Superannuation Payments
To start the 2026–27 financial year correctly, we recommend paying all outstanding superannuation obligations before processing your first payroll for the new financial year.
- Review Payroll Software Settings
Please take the opportunity to review your payroll system and confirm that:
- Superannuation is being calculated correctly for all employees.
- Employee super fund details are accurate and up to date.
- Any recent legislative or software updates have been correctly applied.
