The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) has announced the 2024 Business Boost grants program, which provides support to businesses to advance improvements in their efficiency and productivity.
The support includes funded activities in 3 project areas:
- Future planning,
- Specialised and automated software,
- Staff management, development and planning.
The maximum grant available is $20,000, and is paid in two instalments:
Milestone 1: On completion of a compliant 3-month report – 50%
Milestone 2: On acquittal at project completion.
Furthermore, the applicant must contribute at least 50% of the total project costs.
To be eligible to apply for the grant, your business must:
- Have more than 1 and fewer than 20 employees,
- Have an active ABN and be registered for GST,
- Have a Queensland headquarters,
- Have a turnover of $300,000 (minimum) in the 2024 financial year,
- Have a publicly reachable web presence to identify business operations (including social media page),
- Not have been approved for funding under earlier Business Boost grant programs,
- Not be insolvent or have owners that are an undischarged bankrupt.
